(2023-2026)
THIS IS HEAVEN is a photographic project developed over three years that explores the funerary realm as an intrinsic part of
everyday life, through the observation of various spaces, practices, and professionals within the field. The series reflects on the
persistent presence of death, often hidden and governed by social, moral, and religious conventions.
The project brings together images that capture gestures, routines, and situations in which death appears indirectly, sometimes
even with a touch of irony. By revealing what typically lies beyond the realm of representation, THIS IS HEAVEN challenges the
social mechanisms that dictate the visibility of death, inviting a reflection on finitude as a fundamental condition of life. This
inversion of visibility is achieved by shifting the gaze toward what usually remains unseen.
